The 44th Battle Training Zone, also known as The Forest of Death, was the stage for the second part of the Konoha Chunin exams, proctored by Anko Mitarashi. Its primary function served as a testing ground for the survival and fighting skills of Genin trying to become a Chunin. It is a very dangerous place, filled with hordes of flora and fauna; often gigantic, poisonous – or even more likely, both – hence its name. A metallic fence surrounds its perimeter with 44 gates equally spaced around it; this perimeter is where the shinobi entered. Inside is a river, the forest, and a tower located in the exact center; the forest's radius is about ten kilometers.

Anto sat up with a jolt and looked around. It was quiet in the tower, with nobody in it except the still unconsious forms of Cassius and Akado. Crickets chirped happily in the dead of night. It was absolutely nothing like the desolate wasteland they were teleported from. After surveying the silent monolith, Anto said, "What the bloody hell was that jutsu that Atake used? It almost annililate all of us...."
Across the floor from him, Cassius started to wake up. He was laying right underneath Akado. He leapt to his feet after feeling something sharp poke him, which made Akado fly off him and slam into a wall. Cassius said, "You sick little maggot."

Akado stirred, and opened his eyes haltingly. He blinked a few times, then his violet eyes focused themselves on Anto. For a moment, a wash of anger flooded his face, then he grimaced, turned to his left, and threw up. After brushing his mouth with the tattered sleeve of his coat, he shakily stood. He whispered to himself, "damn." With a glance at Cassius and Anto to make sure they didn't intend to attack him, he walked over to the door, already open, and stepped outside to the balcony there. His hands on the rails and without turning, he began to speak. "That jutsu... That was, indeed, Atake's life work. Do you remember the jutsu he used to incinerate Cassius the first time? This was the completed form, the third level of that power. He called it the Amatadoru. I feared the entire time that he would be forced to use this technique to end the battle, but I held the hope that Mawth and I could incapacitate him before he did something foolish like summon Zephyr or use the Amatadoru. And," he added, with a desperate chuckle, "do you know something else? Zephyr and the Amatadoru are not even the full extent of his power. That man, that MONSTER, is the most powerful being alive."

"And you think that we both didn't know that?" Anto said, "Don't make false assumptions Butterfly boy."
Suddenly, Anto felt a sharp pain due to the large foot that was flying towards his face. As he went flying, Cassius said, "Don't keep stealing your information from my head maggot. No one likes a smart-ass."
As Anto slowly started to stand up and rub his now bruised face, he said, "Hey, what did you expect me to do? Anyway, this is all unimportant right now. We succeeded in our mission, and Atake is nearly dead. Let's go."
Cassius walked over to him, muttered something about people burning, and merged back with him. As a portal began to open in front of them, Anto said, "If you wish to come with us Akado, you may, I guess."

"I may? You don't know who you're talking to. I seem to remember me beating both your--wait, where'd the other one go? Oh, well, as I was saying--" but his words were swallowed by the eruption of noise as the portal consumed them all, whisking them away to a destination unknown to Akado.

((Hey, man, you're in charge. This is Cassius' and Anto's show, now. Until the Dark Atake is revived, at least...))
