A rocking explosion in the middle of the Hidden Village rang out, a white light filling the air. Women and children screamed, and the people closes to the center of the village were instantly incinerated. After the initial detonation (around five hundred feet in diameter), a massive shockwave was released, firing debris, people, and buildings into more people and buildings, smashing towers, slaughtering hundreds of people, and obliterating the entire village. But the shockwave didn't stop there. Another explosion blasted in the vicinity of the original, followed by two more of grander size and strength. With no village to abate the waves, the impact zone widened, destroying the entire peninsula on which the Village was located. Once a bright, lush plane, the Land of Lightning became a twisted, black charnelhouse in a matter of minutes.
The reason for this massive wave of death?
One single person, standing where the first blast radiated from, a lonely figure on a now desolate plane, the only living figure for nearly a hundred miles.

Kumori Hearing about the explosion in the hidden cloud village was told by the hokage to check every thing out, and make sure that the village had not been attacked by an opposing village. So Kumori took off to the village headed in the coulds thinking to his self ' this is a suicide mission if they have been attacked what could a one man team do to stop them. ' Kumori started to smile and laugh about a joke he told the hokage today that was pretty funny but the hokage didn't get it and before he new it he was at the village.
Kumori Started to look for signs of life and all he sall in the mass destruction was charred ground and burning wood and houses Kumori stated to walk farther into the village. He started to see more and more destruction and decided that he was getting closer to were the explosion had happened. Finally Kumori cam to a deep hole in the ground and there standing in the middle the single survivor of this mass explosion.

Kumori's footsteps echoed as he descended the sides of the charred slope. He walked alone, his hackles raising, as he stared at the lone silhouette at the bottom. The clouds that once shaded the area and concealed the identity of the person at the center parted, the sun casting golden rays onto the shoulders of the still-quiet figure. The sun revealed light gray hair, parted neatly, leading to a short ponytail. The young man's back was turned to Kumori, his posture positively dripping with confidence and strength. As Kumori completed his descent into the dusty crater, the figure turned. A flash of green, a grim smile, and the young man's identity was revealed. Kumori gasped, and then sighed with a smile of relief. He couldn't believe his eyes.
Now, for the youth's perspective on these events. He stood inside the massive crater born of the recent explosions, his eyes adjusting to the changing light. The clouds of dust and ash were clearing, splitting the sky with ripples of golden light from the evening sun. Behind him, he heard crunching footsteps. He quickly analyzed them mentally, noting pitch and torque, and decided it was a man about six feet tall, weighing about two hundred pounds, wearing a cloak or poncho, and this approaching man was wary yet confident. He steeled himself for a confrontation, and turned around.
(OOC--as you finish reading this, look at Kumori's location. The funny thing is, it's true. He's reading this as I type it, sitting to my right with a box of Cheez-Its and killing bugs on the computer screen. Ironic, no?)

As kumori Slowly made his way down the crater the figure turned and kumori's face relaxed this was not an enemy its a boy.Kumori started to get closer to the boy as he did he started to think ' i hope we are on good terms' as he started to talk the boy froze and steeled his self, Kumori started to talk in his calm voice " Its ok im a friend i mean no harm." As the dust went away and the smoke cleared kumori could take a better look at the boy.A medium built kid, athletic body with shoulder length hair that was pulled back into a ponytail.

The boy's face tightened, his mind racing. This wasn't possible. For Kumori to be here...? Impossible. This had to mean... where was he? He swallowed the lump in his throat and spoke, his voice betraying none of the anguish and despair he felt, "You... you are Kumori, of the hidden leaf?" The intruder nodded carefully, his brow drawing tight. The youth continued, his voice now wavering, "I understand that this is the island of Migoichi in the Land of the Mists, correct?"

Kumori's knees almost went weak when he heard this boy talk, after the last question kumori answer,"No that is not correct this is the land of lightning or what is left of the land of lightning" Kumori's face turned to stone his mind started to race where had the boy cam from and how had he got hear. As kumori was trying to answer the questions him self he sall that the boys fave had also turn rigid and he was processing the information kumori had given him.

The boy's heart turned to ice. He understood now, after all those years... he was nothing but a tool. But he'd deal with that later. His newest concern was Kumori. He blinked, and thought about what he'd been told of Kumori the Fallen Leaf. He knew the man was highly trained, and an assassin. What a small world. Kumori couldn't be allowed to escape. If word of what had happened in the Village Hidden in the Clouds spread... The point was, knowledge of his presence couldn't be allowed to reach the Hokage. Or any other Kage, no matter the village. At least he knew he didn't have to deal with the Cloud Village... what a disgustingly hilarious thought!
He understood, though, that he could make no action until he was completely sure of Kumori's intentions. He didn't even know if his identity had been compromised as of yet, and that was a comforting thought indeed.
He turned his gaze to Kumori's eyes, as if searching them for any hint of intent. "What do you intend to do from here, Master Assassin? I await your move."

"My move is to let you go free if word is paced that I didn't take you to my hokage I will find you". Kumori looked at the boy and finally remeberd why this boy was such a sight for his eyes kumori looked at the boy and asked " What is your name son just so I can know who it is I'm leting go, Because if you know me not very many people that I cross paths with are still alive" Kumori looked at the kid and smiled this kid looked like he woulf hurt a fly

(Remember, guys, he did that on his Blackberry.... it's an improvement, but, well, give the dude some credit.)
The boy frowned. He blinked his eyes slowly, then replied, "I'm not at liberty to tell you my name, but if you play as big a part in internal politics as I've been led to believe, then you'll know it soon enough." He cracked his knuckles and nodded at Kumori, then strode past Kumori onto the desolate waste beyond. Almost an afterthought, he spoke over his shoulder, "I know you were wondering... yes, I did all of this myself. This havoc, this destruction... I wrought it all."
