The sun began to rise over a scenic, peaceful mountainside in the center of the Land of Earth. There were supposedly more trees here than any other place in the country.
So far, Anto saw nothing to change that theory.
As Akado stepped out of the portal, Anto said, "Man this place is great! The smell of pine always gets me happy for some reason. Maybe its the fact that it always makes me think of the days before all this..."
After Akado had shaken all the soot off his clothes, he sarcastically remarked, "Yeah, well the smell of those bodies burning is pretty good too."
"It's a bloody portal through heck itself. What did you expect?" Cassius muttered while stepping out of Anto's body. "Anyway, here comes the spider with the package now..."
As if it had been waiting for him to say that, a large spider stepped through another portal and into the forested area. It quickly went over to Anto and leaned over, as if to draw his attention to the black book on its back.
"Yes, I see that you brought it, little one. Good job!" Anto said with a smile. He reached down and took the book as he said, "Just a little longer now until the fireworks." He began to pull out his Chidorike, the sword handle that he always created a spike sword from, as he chuckled. "Good thing we have all we need here. The book, the CHAKRA," he said as a spike pierced the spider, releasing its life energy.
"And the perfect place." He finished with a grin. His fingers caressed the book as he laughed and said, "Still, this smell is just so good," he took a large sniff as he said this, "that it makes me feel so good inside, like everything is gonna be ok. Like the whole world is about to be a better place."
At this he snatched the book open.
Immediately, black fire fell from the sky and created a circle around the trio. The unholy flames then explosively spread out in a large wave, consuming the entire forest and all of its inhabitants. As soon as the area was consumed by the flames, air began to swirl around the book. The air acted as a vacuum as it sucked up the spider's chakra and put it into the book.
As soon as it was finished with its meal of energy, the book slammed shut.
Anto threw the book high into the air and yelled, "GET BACK EVERYONE!"
It proved to be a good warning. The book floated in midair as the three jumped back and up over the flames.
Suddenly, the book seemed to be sucked into a black hole. The air around the hole rushed towards it as there appeared a dim light inside of the darkness.
Without warning, tendrils of energy shot out from the hole. The flames somehow leapt toward the tentacles of chakra and colored them black.
Anto, Cassius, and Akado landed on a patch of dirt, away from the book and energy. Anto said with a sad smile, "Too bad everything is NOT going to be alright."
The tendrils began to draw a circle around the hole, and they even began to draw runic symbols inside of the circle. Cassius said as the energy did its task, "Now we wait for it to finish this. it'll take a while though, so be prepared to defend it."
